A wide range of issues were discussed, as revealed by the Ambassador later on to the press.
He said, they spoke about the possibility of bringing in some U. S. experts to help the NCPBM to achieve its missions. For the Ambassador, the United States is a melting pot of cultures, and also has tensions just like Cameroon in this area. So the American experience can be of use to Cameroon.
He said they also spoke about what the Commission has been doing so far, with emphasis on the NCPBM’s mission to BUEA (to listen to the people), as part of a move to find solutions to the crisis plaguing the North West and South West regions of Cameroon.
After their exchange of views, the Ambassador said the U.S. was very ready to encourage the initiative of the Commission.
The U.S. Ambassador also had a better insight into how the Commission functions when he was briefed on its missions and some of its achievements by the Secretary General of NCPBM, Dr. CHI ASAFOR Cornelius..
