The President of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism (NCPBM), H.E. Peter Mafany Musonge, informs the public that the Commission will organise a colloquium on the theme: “Intercommunity Conflicts and the Promotion of Living Together”.

The upcoming colloquium will take place at the Conference Centre, Yaounde, from the 26th to the 28th of September, 2024, under the Very Distinguished Patronage of the Head of State, H.E. Paul Biya.

The aim of the forum is to raise awareness on the dangers of intercommunity conflicts to peace, national unity and social cohesion in Cameroon.

It is also intended to make recommendations aimed at preventing, managing and eradicating the occurence of such conflicts from the Cameroonian society.

The colloquium will, thus, bring together experts in the conflict management cycle, university professors, representatives of international organisations based in Cameroon, government ministries in charge of managing intercommunity conflicts, and civil society organisations, among others.

The colloquium constitutes one of the major activities in the 2024 Plan of Action for Commission as approved by the President of the Republic.
