On Thursday 29th January 2026, H.E. Peter MAFANY MUSONGE, President of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism (NCPBM), chaired the First Biannual Session of the Institution for the 2026 financial year. The Session which started at 11 a.m., was held in the Meeting Hall ‘A’ of the Yaoundé Conference Centre.
In addition to the Vice-President of the Institution, all the other Members of the Commission took part in the said Session.
Dr CHI ASAFOR Cornelius, Secretary General of the Commission was secretary of the session.
After the adoption of the agenda, deliberations ensued on the items inscribed therein.
At the end of the session, the deliberations were sanctioned by:
- the adoption of the minutes of the NCPBM second biannual session for the 2025 financial year;
- the adoption of the Budget of the Commission for the 2026 financial year which stands at 3 498 000 000 (three billion, four hundred and ninety eight million) Francs.
The session ended at 2.30 pm and the President of the Commission thanked the Members for their effective participation and contribution to the deliberations. He also congratulated the Secretary General of the Institution and his team, for the quality of the documents submitted for examination by the Commission.
