Recommendations to ensure the proper implementation of the paper were gathered on the occasion
Usually the government carries out development projects without concerting with the population. This time around, the approach is different with the Growth and Employment Strategic paper, which has the vision of making Cameroon an Emerging Economy by 2035. The opinions, preoccupations and recommendations of Cameroonians is thus necessary for its proper implementation. It is within this framework that the Minister Delegate to the Ministry of the Economy, Planning and Regional development, Paul TASONG led a delegation to the NCPBM on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.
On the occasion, members of the Commission were edified on the stakes of the Growth and Employment Strategic Paper which consists of putting in place development projects that will ensure National integration and the promotion of Democracy and Peace.
The President of the NCPBM, Peter MAFANY MUSONGE said reflection on those issues has already started in his institution, citing the recent colloquium on Multiculturalism, the Brainstorming on Living Together, the visit to Ministries and State Establishments to evaluate the implementation of the constitutional provision which makes the use of French and English as Languages of equal status.
The second phase of the Growth and Employment Strategic Paper will run from 2020 to 2027. The first phase started in 2010.
