Commission President receives in audience a delegation of the African Academy of Languages ACALAN.

ACALAN Delegation led by its Executive Secretary Dr. Lang FAFA DAMPHA praises Head of State, Paul Biya, for creating the commission to promote languages and multiculturalism.

On the 30th of October 2017, the President of the Commission, Peter MAFANY MUSONGE, received in audience a delegation of the African Academy of Languages ACALAN led by its Executive Secretary, LANG FAFA DAMPHA.

The President was accompanied on this occasion by the Vice President, Mr. OUMAROU DJIKA and the Secretary General, Dr. CHI ASAFOR Cornelius.

On the occasion, the Secretary General of the Commission, Dr. CHI ASAFOR Cornelius, presented the Commission, with emphasis on its attributions, organizational chart and achievements. He also spoke of the plan of action, standing orders and organizational chart that were approved by the President of the Republic on September 06th 2017.

For his part, the Executive Secretary of ACALAN, LANG FAFA DAMPHA, praised the Head of State H.E Paul Biya, for creating the Commission to promote Languages and Multiculturalism. He further said the African Academy of Languages is one of the agencies of the African Union in charge of the promotion of African languages and cultures, so as to consolidate the unity and fraternity of the people of Africa. Finally he expressed the wish that Cameroon ratifies the charter for African Cultural Renaissance.
